Adegu Canada has released their first GSM/GPRS wireless gateway flexible solution design.
The solution is specifically designed to serve a wide range of M2M applications and wireless remote management customers, enabling fast time-to-market introduction.
The initial release will be deployed by two leading customers in Canada and USA for remote sensors on-line monitoring applications.

The modular and advanced design of this wireless gateway enables the integration of multiple RF wireless technologies through standard interface. The wireless gateway is based on the latest Quad-band GPRS/GSM wireless engine and features built-in battery backup, remote software upgrade, UART standard interface, ARM Cortex-M3 , software based location notification, power saving mode, visual status indicators, watchdog and audible local alarm. Adegu will provide Monar general management services, business planning, product and service development consulting on applying Adegu’s innovative solutions to the development of Monar’s on-line merchandising business, as well as assessing the broader business potential of applying M2M & SMScreen mobile solutions in related applications to Monar.
Monar International is a public listed company with their principal office located in Hong Kong.

The indications are evident that the global Machine-to-Machine (M2M) business is experiencing a healthy growth and the synergy between Telecommunication and Information Technology finds a new strength in the M2M world.
Adegu Canada has participated in the ETSI M2M Standardization workshop that took place in Sophia Antipolis, 19-20 October 2010. With the participation of over 220 delegates and representatives from across diverse industrial sectors, the world's major telecommunication manufacturers, network operators, service providers, regulators, application developers and research institutes.
The workshop presented the current status of Machine-to-Machine standards work, both in ETSI and in other standards bodies, and examined how M2M capabilities will be one stepping stone amongst several toward the 'Internet of Things'.
